Autumn anxiety is a trend seen in people who have a tendency toward anxiety symptoms in the fall season, according to Eric Almeida, a mental health coach who specializes in EFT (emotional freedom technique). Symptoms can include excessive worry, irritability, fatigue/sleeplessness, a lack of interest in everyday activities, and feeling depressed. However, "autumn anxiety" is not a condition that can be clinically diagnosed. Eric Almeida suggests that if you experience more than half of the typical symptoms for weeks at a time during the fall season, it could be an indicator of an anxiety flare-up.
